Heartfelt-Special Couple

Good morning!

I made this card with the beautiful Classic Wedding Collection and did a sort of Bendi with the top.  The Beautiful Decorative Medallion makes a wonderful arch way.  The card itself is flat but the arch is bent like a Bendi-Frame by being about 1/4" longer than the space I have it in (the inside light pink panel).  Only the edges are attached so my Wedding Bells are hanging out from the arch.
I had so much fun making the beautiful roses for this card and creating little buds as well.  Heartfelt's rose die is a pleasure to work with!

I used the beautiful Crystal Clear glitter on my roses, tulle in between and white Prills here and there as "baby's breath".

Instructions:
Card size is 6 1/4 X 5 1/4.  Cut pink paper from the Classic Wedding to the card size and glue to cover folded white card.  Stamp, die cut and sponge Classic Rose pieces with Angel Pink Memento, Classic Rose Vines and Classic Wedding Bells with Black Memento  from smooth white and then sponge with color using Bazzinks-light green and Memento- Bamboo Leaves, (the Classic Wedding Bells image is colored with Copic Markers C0,C01,C02,C03,C05,R81,R83,R85,YG63,G21,G82).  Form and fashion roses and leaves using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.   Add glue to tips of roses and dip into Crystal Clear for sparkle. Cut another ivory color print from the designer paper 5 X 6" and stamp "To A Special Couple" from Wedding Wishes on the bottom right and then glue bells toward the top.  Die cut the Decorative Medallion from heavy weight white card stock and glue just the sides to the card edges even with the ivory paper to make it bend (similar to a Bendi Frame card).  Glue pink roses and leaves down onto left side of card.  Add a few leaves and a rose bud to the right side as well.  Add tuffs of pink tulle to rose bouquet and then add a few white Prills (like babies breath) around rose bouquet.  To finish this card, add large pearl halves to the corners and a string of pearl halves along the top of the Medallion arch.

ODBD - Wedding Swing Card

Good morning!
This is my inspiration card for this week.
I made my own swing card using the Oval dies.  You can use any basic shape really but I chose the oval to better fit the wedding cake.

Closed view
This Swing card is about 5 X 5"

Open view
I did my card using card stock 5" X 7" and my middle (swing section) is 1".
Make the base and then use a smaller nesting die to make the designer paper cuts.   Yes, there may be a bit of measuring to do...you can do it!
You need 2 smaller ovals, 1 for the front and 1 for the back.
Stamp and decorate as desire.  Make sure the decorations on the right side isn't in far enough to be in the way of your card folding flat.
ODBD stamps used for this card: Long Lasting Love.
ODBD dies: Ovals, Pierced Ovals, Bitty Blossoms
ODBD paper: Wedding Wishes

Tutorial in photos for the flip fold (Swing Card)
You can use pretty much any shape to make the flip fold.

Draw light pencil lines where you want the fold.  Place your die so that the middle of the die is on the first line.  Make sure your lines are not too far apart so that part of the die hangs over the second line.  Place the top cutting plate on the line and cut (it will only cut where the top plate is).  Turn the card around and place the top plate on the other line to cut only that part of the die.

Your cut will look like this first photo.  Then take your card to your scoring system (The ScorePal used here).  Score just to the cuts on the lines drawn and fold card on those lines (erase lines).  You should have your flip.  When open one side shows, when closed the other side shows.

for more direction please visit this tutorial from Norma Lee.  she is the one who gave me the courage to try.  It is very easy once you've done it.

Gorgeous and special.
There are special messages and tags at each end where you can write your heartfelt congratulations or good advice for the new couple.
Look at that sparkle from the Crystal Clear glitter.

The pink ribbon has sparkle as well.
The belly band really adds to the total look and holds the card together until ready to open.

Do this on both sides.  Cut light pink designer paper to fit each inside panel.  The Wedding couple and arch designer paper is in the center.  Cut medium pink to fit each panel on the back side.  Stamp and die cut Classic Rose and Classic Rose Vines.  Die cut Medallion X 2 and Pockets X 4.  Glue one pocket to each short side inside and outside too.  Leave inside pockets open as a pockets. Glue one Medallion to each side of the 6" center.  Use a border punch to cut enough border to top the card from end to end. Score border at card scores to make folding easier. Glue ribbon to top inside and outside, make sure you can still fold card nicely. Shape and fashion roses and leaves. Add Crystal Clear to the tips of roses.  Glue some of the Classic Rose vines to the inside (second section on both sides) and then close card to add roses so that none are under any layers when closed. Cover with medium pink designer paper 1 3/8" and long enough to go around then add ribbon to center all the way around.  Cut a strip of white wide enough to cover center glued piece and border cut both sides.  Punch a heart for the center.  Stamp, die cut and color small heart wreath and wedding rings from Classic Wedding Roses.  Cut large ring at about the center and add to wreath (make sure cut is covered by wreath vine), glue to band just in a few places so that it keeps it's form.  Add Stickles to diamonds.  The band keeps the card closed nicely and adds a decorative punch for interest to the closed card.

ODBDSLC287-Color Challenge Reminder

Good morning!

For this reminder I decided to add the pink color which I really do love!

You can find all the information about joining our challenge HERE
There will be a $15 gift certificate toward ODBD stamps for one random prize winner and an award for one card using ODBD stamps called the Shining The Light Award, and your card will be featured on the ODBD blog.

I started with the designer paper and cut and oval for a window then cut the same from a piece of white Fun Foam to pop up the entire first layer.
I glued the die cut silver Boho Background to the back of my Fun Foam layer, added the pink frame on the oval window, the ribbon wrapped around then glued the Fun Foam layer on top of my pink folded card base.
I stamped the Happy Wedding Day verse with Orchid Brilliance (pink) and die cut it with the Oval and framed it with the Ornate Oval.
I die cut the Layering Heart, Fancy Foliage and Bitty Blossoms from card stock and foamed the bitty Blossoms then added Prills to the centers.
My Heart is edged with Brilliance.  I stamped and die cut the love birds from Happy Wedding Day then finished decorating my "window" with all of my die cut pieces.
To finish off my card I added pearls and a sheer pink bow.
ODBD stamps: Happy Wedding Day
ODBD paper: Wedding Wishes

Good morning!

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs June Release, here is the card I created using the Bride & Groom die, Happily Ever After stamp set, Wedding wishes Paper Collection, Vintage Borders, Vintage Labels and Flower Lattice Die. For more inspiration using the June Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

Bride and Groom easel card.
This card is 5 1/4" X 5 1/4" when closed.
This wedding paper has so many elegant, rich designs that is is hard to choose what to use!
I used 2 designs from the paper pack and added a border between the 2 papers.
The sentiment is embossed with silver powder, die cut and popped up so that it acts like a stop for my easel.
Lots of pearls and ribbon were added to this card as well.

Heartfelt Creations - Peachy Wedding Cake-The Classic Wedding Collection

Good morning!

It is time for the big reveal!  The new Classic Wedding Collection from Heartfelt Creations!!

I have to tell you how this idea popped into my head.  It all has to do with my mother (who went home to be with Jesus in 2002) and my childhood.
My mother, among other creative things, made and decorated cakes.
I remember helping her with forms for sugar bells etc.  She made the most gorgeous icing roses you will ever see!  She was very much a perfectionist and everything looked quite professional.  She made wedding cakes for my sisters and I and I'm talking 5 tier things! She made gorgeous roses and scallops and lacey looking lattice and everything a beautiful wedding cake is known for.
Since this was a favorite memory (because she also made the best tasting white cakes ever!  And you KNOW cake decorators always cut off the tops!) well it made it very easy to come to mind when I was thinking of weddings.
I so wish I had a picture to show you but I have no idea where any are.
This wedding cake is in honor of my mother!

Products:

Instructions:
7" base X 8" tall plus topper 3 1/2"
Other products: Paper Mache round boxes, large pearls, rhinestones, lace, cording, paint, acetate, Vintage Glass Glitter, tulle, ribbon, chipboard for cake "plate".  Start by painting 3 round boxes with white acrylic paint or gesso. I used a cereal bowl to draw around for my cake "plate" and cut it out with a craft knife.  Paint it white as well. Cover each box with designer paper from the Wedding Collection and then cut several Decorative Medallions to add as a scallop around all 3 boxes and glue them on to the boxes on top of the paper.  Glue the lids to the boxes and stack them, gluing each on top of the other.  Glue lace around the lid of each box and cording around the base of each box. Stamp, die cut and sponge all the rose pieces and vine/leaf pieces then shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Craft each flower and then use glue and glitter around the petals of each flower.  Begin decorating the cake with the vines/leaves first working in a slight diagonal direction toward the top.  Once you are happy with the pattern you've made, add the roses starting with the largest at the bottom of the cake.  Fill in where needed with white tulle and peach ribbon bows, also add more leaves where needed. To make the topper I cut a round piece of designer paper for the top and set aside.  I stamped the doves and the small heart wreath from Classic Wedding Roses then die cut them and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut a strip of acetate and put a fold at the bottom (the form an "L" shape).  I cut a slit in my round paper and inserted the acetate then glued the paper, with the acetate sticking out, to the top of the cake.  I glued the heart wreath to the acetate and then glued the doves to the wreath.  I finished by adding large pearls to the edge of the top all the way around.

Heartfelt Creations Birthday Wishes

Good morning!
I love petunias, they are my favorite hanging basket flower.
My petunias are growing so nicely this year too!  I think all the rain we had this year really nourished the earth with much needed nutrients that had been lacking in recent years because everything is growing well this year!

This is my card for this week's Heartfelt Creations post.

Instructions:
Other products: Pearl halves, Spellbinder Labels Twenty, Distress Inks-(Shabby Shutters, Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberries, Squeezed Lemonade), Brilliance Ink-Pearlescent Purple, Mini-Metallics Rub-Ons, Viva Inka Gold-(gold, silver and copper), White card stock, Pink card stock, Crystal Stickles, 3-M Foam Tape.

Instructions:
Card size is 6 X 6.  Start with folded white card 6 X 6 and then layer with pink card stock 5 3/4 X 5 3/4, next is the designer paper from the Classic Petunia Collection, 5 5/8 X 5 5/8 then sponge edges withe Distress Inks. Cut a white Decorative Border from Decorative Borders and Pockets.  Cut a white and a gray Raindrops on Roses die.  Cut the gray one in half to use as a basket.  Rub with the Metallics Rub-Ons and also with Inka Gold, Silver and Copper, giving it an aged iron look.  Stamp, die cut and sponge the flowers and leaves from the Small Classic Petunias.  I did yellow, lavender, purple and pink petunias, add glue and Crystal Clear onto tips of flowers.  Die cut the Wildwood Floral smallest flowers from blue.  Shape all the flowers using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and glue together, add Prills to the centers and add Yellow Nuvo to the centers of the tiny blue flowers.  Stamp sentiment from the Small Classic Petunias onto designer paper to match the small tag cut out.  Edge tag and die cut sentiment with Distress Inks.  Use foam tape under basket and attach 3 strands of cord then tie the cord at the top and loop around Decorative Border where it looks like it could be a hook. Attach small tag to the right top of the border then glue the border down starting at the left top corner (corner to corner on the decorative paper).  Glue the white Raindrops on Roses down on card and then the popped up basket.  Start "filling" the basket with flowers and leaves from Wildwood Floral.  Use the tiny blue flowers as fill in.  Add the sentiment layer to the card on the left side of basket and then add pearls to the border.  Stamp, die cut and color Hummingbirds, add Stickles. Use foam tape to attach Hummers to the card.

Good morning!

What is more classic for June than weddings?
Our Daily Bread Designs is celebrating the wedding with it's new release for June.
Come hop along with us for your chance to win a prize!

My first card is featuring the Long Lasting Love stamp set.

I stamped the cake on the paper and also on a piece of white card stock then colored it with Copic Markers and cut it out.  The little parts I did not cut out because I stamped it on the paper as well.  I popped up the cake and added color and gold dots to the parts that were stamped on the paper.

My second card features Happy Wedding Day and the Heart Topiary die.

My roses were made with coffee filters (Dawn Lusk idea) and edged with gold ink. I tucked some gold tulle in with the roses as well.  I have a double row of pearls under the pretty border that is part of the paper, also a bit of lace under that.  I cut out the heart from another piece of paper and popped them up then added Liquid Pearl dots in gold.
My topiary was embossed with gold then I used Solar Gold Twinkling H2Os on the vase and love birds.  The topiary is also popped up.
