DRS Designs Challenge #246-Autumn Wonders

Good morning!
Time for a new challenge-
This week's challenge has everything fall ...
Autumn Wonders!
(use any image, die cut, punch, technique, just make it about autumn..think leaves, pumpkins, Indian corn, scarecrows!)

Today I've used 791L Bountiful Basket, 422B Autumn Greetings and 036M Summers End Tree to make my Autumn Wonder card.
I also used I.O. apples and leaves dies, ODBD Double Stitched Rectangle dies, foam tape from 3M and twine.
I stamped, colored and cut out my basket, die cut a bunch of apples (a bunch comes on one die), leaves and die cut my frame.
I stamped my tree and greeting on a white 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 panel then sponged in some color for the sky and ground and glued my apples and leaves on.  I wound  twine around one side of the frame then popped it up over my image panel then
I glued some more leaves on the frame and popped my basket up over the bottom corner of my frame.
I hope you will join us this week in the challenge.

Weekly Inspiration Post - ODBD

Good morning!
Here is another Indian Corn card to get you in the mood for fall.
I've used the new release A-Maize-ing stamp set and
Indian Corn die for this card.
ODBD stamps: A-Maize-ing
I focused everything to the left side and added the pretty Art Deco border to the right. I cut off the left side of the Lavish Layer die frame to make the off set more intentional.
This Indian Corn is so fun to color and the die makes it so easy to use on any kind of layout with any other dies!
Have fun and thanks for visiting!

DRS Designs Challenge #245-Trick or Treat

Good morning!
Time for a new DRS Designs challenge!
Anything Halloween tricks or treats.

DRS stamps used for this card: 524F Smell My Feet & 606D Candy Corn Border
I used stitched rectangle dies by ODBD, a bat button, floss, a star punch and shrink plastic for this card as well.
I cut my frame and then used a stamp aligner and some post-its for masking to stamp my Candy Corn around the frame.  I also stamped the Candy corn border twice on shrink plastic, colored and punched 1/8" holes on the top then baked it in my toaster oven to make my charms for hanging (I also die cut some stars on shrink plastic for charms).
The frame is popped up with a layer of orange under the sentiment and a layer of green under that.  The base of my card is purple and I glued the punched star on in green, yellow, orange and black.
I hope you will join in the fun this week, you can find a link below and instruction for submitting your card.

ODBDSLC278 Reminder-Dots & Dashes!

Good morning!
Here's a project for the dots and dashes challenge going on this month
at the Our Daily Bread Designs blog.

ODBD stamps used: I Love Coffee

I found this K-Cup pattern on Pinterest HERE.
It is surprisingly simple to make and I hope you will try it.
I stamped with Brown ink on the designer paper from ODBD and then colored in the cups. The box is decorated with designer paper (ODBD), the Bitty Borders and the Layered Lacey Squares cut in half at the diagonal.
I have lots of dots today!

For more inspiration please visit my design team sisters

You have until October 2nd to join the challenge
There will be a $15 gift certificate  toward stamps for one random winner as well as one winner for the Shining the Light Award.

ODBD SEPTEMBER REMINDER

Good morning!
Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs September Release, here is the card I created using the new Beverage Cup dies . For more inspiration using the September Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

ODBD Stamps: I Love Coffee set

I used acetate for the dome top and edged it with a little blue Copics to make it more visible. I cut a small slit in the whipped cream to insert my straw instead of having it come from the top.
the Pennants were cut apart so that they would lay straight across the bottom of my layer.
I used a a sketch from a previous ODBD sketch challenge turned 90*.
My ribbon (white seam binding) was dyed to match the paper with reinkers.
I popped up the cup to give it more dimension and those are the basics!

Please visit my design team sister "breadsticks" for more beautiful idea from the September release

Other ODBD favorites used

My other card is a Z fold with an opposite Z fold fence made using the new release Wheelbarrow die and Seasons Change stamp set

 The Z fold is basic 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 and 6 1/8, I then cut down the height to 4 1/4 to make a square card when folded flat.
I did my grass and wheelbarrow scene and glued it to my sponged Pierced Circle and then cut the bottom of the circle again to cut off excess grass.  I glued the fence down to the 2 1/8" score and then again on the left side of the card just on the front 2 1/8" flap of the card base...it is loose in the center to fold down and then pop back out when open.
I added a bit of raffia to decorate my fence.

DRS Challenge #244- Inspired By Color

Good morning!
Time for a new challenge at DRS Designs.

Today's color palette

I also used a grass border punch and fence border punch by Martha Stewart, Sizzix grave yard die, and I.O. little ghosties.
I brayered color onto my bg pieces and then stamped the Grim Reaper, masked and stamped the grave yard.  I used a silver color pencil to change the color of his reaping blade and I used bleach to change the color of his had to "bone" white!
The highlights were added with white acrylic paint and I also rubbed the die cut grave yard with metallic Rub-Ons.  The little ghosties have white mist drifting down from them by using a cotton swab with white Distress ink.
I made this an easel card because of the very fun Halloween sentiment that seemed to fit perfectly with this Grim fella and of course it needs a space of it's own.
If you don't know how or have forgotten how to make an easel card, it is very simple and this horizontal one goes like this:
All you need to go with this basic base is a full 4 1/4 X 5 1/2" top decorated and an inside panel of any size but part of the inside needs to be raised up to act like a catch to keep the card open.
Today I used two black pearl halves but normally I will pop up a middle layer with foam tape or dots.

ODBD Week Inspiration

Good morning!
Today I have a card for you that features the new release Wheelbarrow die and
Seasons Change stamp set, I also used the Happy Fall from the new A-Maize-ing stamp set.

I used a previous Our Daily Bread Designs sketch and these ODBD dies:
My layers were done with the Rectangles and Double Stitched Rectangles, I added the Doily in behind the image panel for just a little extra.  The sentiment was cut using the Double Stitched Circles and then matted with the inside portion of the Doily die set.
MY bottom layer of fall grass was torn at the top and then I added the Grass Lawn die to the back of that and the fence behind that.  I added those layers to a light blue panel and then die cut it with the Double Stitched Rectangles.
Today I decided to do some rust colored fall asters and an older, weathered wheelbarrow with my coloring.

DRS Challenge #243- By The Light of The Moon!

Good morning!
Time for a new DRS challenge.
This time, put a moon on it!

I masked the tiny witch out of the picture first and then stamped and colored my image, masking the house and moon to sponge the sky then reverse masking to sponge my moon.  I stamped, colored and cut out the sign and hand, die cut the fence and tombstone.  Before adding the die cuts and fussy cut itemed I sponged some white Distress on the foreground to make it a bit misty. I added some silver Rub-Ons on the fence and tombstone and added the white shine marks and the RIP with a white Painty Pen.  After adding my cut out items to the card I added some dirt colors to tie them into the grass better.
That's about it.

To enter, show us your card  by linking it HERE and please remember to link back to DRS Designs. Psalm 95

Come, let us sing to the Lord!

Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come to him with thanksgiving.
Let us sing psalms of praise to him.
For the Lord is a great God,
a great King above all gods.
He holds in his hands the depths of the earth
    and the mightiest mountains.
The sea belongs to him, for he made it.
His hands formed the dry land, too.
Come, let us worship and bow down.

Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,

    for he is our God.

ODBD September New Release Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to September's new release BLOG HOP!

Our Daily Bread Designs has some pretty new FALL designs this month!

First up is the new Seasons Change stamp set and Wheelbarrow die to go with it.

This card also features some great new grass dies Grass Lawn and Grass Hill

I also used the stamp/die Duo Many Blessings from last month and older favorites Cozy Quilt paper, Rectangles, Pierced Rectangles, Fence, and Lavish Layers.
I stamped and colored my image in some nice fall colors (some of my favorite flowers are fall asters which are purple, around here anyway) then die cut it, I cut the grasses from light and medium golden colors and the fence from a scrap of white and assembled all onto a piece of light blue stock, foam taping some of the pieces to add dimension.
I then used the rectangle dies to make a frame window and stamped "Harvest of" on top.  The inside frame was cut with the Lavish Layers and the Cozy Quilt paper.  I popped the frame up over my wheelbarrow scene and added the Blessings die cut from my dry grass color.

Next up is a card using the new A-Maize-ing stamp set and Indian Corn die that goes with it.

I stamped, colored and die cut the Indian corn and then stamped and die cut my Give and Thanks from the duo set.
I built up layers using the Doily, Vintage Borders, Vintage Labels and Stitched Oval sets, popping some of the layers up. The Give and Thanks are also popped up.
